This year, In The Image is raising money for its S.H.O.E.S. Program (Shoes Help Our Elementary Students). Each year, In The Image raises money to purchase a brand new pair of “back to school” shoes to put on the feet of at risk elementary students in our community. The schools targeted have at least 85% of their students on the free or reduced lunch programs. We believe that our children deserve a chance to succeed in life. With that in mind, we offer a glimmer of hope by handing out more than 7,000 pairs of shoes each year during our S.H.O.E.S. Program. Students have the opportunity to come into In The Image and select a brand new pair of high quality brand name back-to-school shoes. This year In The Image will be reaching out to students in Kentwood and Wyoming which will nearly double the amount of shoes they will need to purchase. They want to give these children the opportunity to thrive, and we want to encourage them to be their very best. The success with the S. H.O.E.S. Program rests in the hands of the generous Grand Rapids area community.
